Baltimore's 1st Electric,
Inc. Acquires Several Multimillion-Dollar Contracts for Naval Academy
Renovations
September 11, 2007 - (Baltimore,
MD) Maryland-based 1st Electric, Inc. has acquired several new contracts
to begin work on renovations taking place on campus at the Naval
Academy. In all, the company will perform in excess of $7,000,000
worth of electrical work for the Academy.
1st Electric has already begun work on the Academy's
King Hall, one of the largest dining facilities in the world, with
a capacity of over 5,000 people. The company recently completed
Phase One of nearly $2,000,000 worth of renovations and Phase Two
work will commence shortly. Forrester Construction is the General
Contractor for the project.
1st Electric will work with Forrester Construction
extensively on $2,600,000 of electrical work slated to begin on
Nimitz Library. Drew Lynch and Richard Plitt of 1ST Electric will
head up the Design-Build contract for the renovations to the existing
Naval Academy Library.
And finally, 1st Electric is working with General
Contractor MacKenzie Construction on the NAAA Ice Hockey and Tennis
Arena for the Naval Academy Athletic Association, an estimated $2,500,000+
job.
The company is hopeful that its quality of work
and reputation for excellence will result in future contracts at
