1st Electric, Inc. Receives Baltimore SmartCEO’s 2008 Emerging Growth Award

January 7, 2008 - (Baltimore, MD) 1st Electric, Inc., a Baltimore-based electrical construction and maintenance firm, recently received Baltimore SmartCEO's 2008 Emerging Growth Award. The Award is presented to only five companies in the region, based on the rate of growth the companies have experienced in the past year. SmartCEO's Emerging Growth Award recognizes young companies who have demonstrated immense growth in both revenue and employees, and focuses particularly on the CEOs who have guided these companies to exceptional success.

President and CEO of 1st Electric, Inc., Richard China, commented on the factors which have contributed to the company's growth, stating it's his team behind the impressive numbers. China points out that the number of years of experience his employees bring to the customer is key. The senior management team, alone, has over 250 years of experience in the electrical construction industry. An experienced, devoted staff will be a key factor in the company's future growth and continued success.

1st Electric was founded in 2005 by Mr. Rick China and is headquartered in Baltimore, Md. In March of 2006 they opened a satellite office on the Eastern Shore of Maryland to better serve the Delmarva corridor. The company just recently opened a satellite office in Aberdeen, Maryland and has plans to expand into Northern, Virginia and Western, Maryland by 2009.

1st Electric, Inc. offers service, maintenance, design-build, and electrical construction.
